This weekend was spent trying desperately to get everything back.
Basically, the harddrive was fucked. An installation had gone wrong, managed to break windows to the point of not booting, and take everything with it.
Fortunately, I managed to get most of it back, although I re-downloaded the site from my server anyway, so I was using the last working version and not some dodgy, possibly corrupt thing. For some reason, the entire contents of the adverts folder was deleted, which included the source .FLA files. I have no idea why this has gone... if it had been the last thing I was working on I might have understood it, but it wasn't - it seems to have been chosen at random. Still, it should be possible to download the published .swf files from the website and use SWF Decompiler to regenerate them.
I also came across a few corrupt images and files, but so far, nothing that can't be undone. Still, it justifies why I re-downloaded the main site.
Now I have to try reinstalling everything, which will take ages. So far, I guess I'll lose about 5 days working time due to this crash, which is really frustrating, pushes me right up to the deadline on Friday.
